The dust is finally starting to settle after the rumblings of this past weekend’s Red Bull LAN event at 满帆 University. For three days, some of the world’s top 星际争霸2 和 晕:达到 esports athletes convened in the 满帆 Live Venue for an invitation-only performance camp designed to prepare them for professional gaming competitions throughout the 2012 season.

近2.5 million fans tuned in each night across four live streams to watch 18 hours of play, witnessing the successes 和 upsets, the trials 和 triumphs as they happened, like the insane free-for-all match on the last day, which ended with Joseph “Tizoxic” Campbell, Paul “Snakebite” Duarte 和 Matthew “Royal 2” Fiorante on top. Kicking off strong, 从第一天开始, #RBLAN was trending on 推特, as spectators around the world participated in the event with their comments 和 questions for the athletes displayed above the central stage.

We were also graced by Red Bull Gaming event commentators Sean “Day[9]” Plott, Dave “Walshy” Walsh, 和 Marcus “djWHEAT” Wheat. Walshy 和 gamer Mike “Flamesword” Chaves also visited our Blackmoor Studios to meet students 和 play some of their games. Walshy also had the honor of awarding a $10,000 scholarship in his name to a deserving – 和 ecstatic – student. The two guests left their mark by signing the glass wall of one of the Blackmoor rooms.
